In this article series, we are going to use Funnelll to track a sales funnel representing your customer value path on your website.

Prerequisites

This article assumes that you have a Funnelll account and installed Funnelll on your website. If you haven't set up Funnelll on your website yet, please refer to our How To Install Funnelll page. This article also assumes that you have enabled the Google Analytics app from your account's Apps & Integrations catalog.

Tracking Conversions

Funnelll allows you to track/tag customer actions, sometimes referred to as conversions or events, directly on your website without writing additional code.

Track Conversions On Clicks

Tracking conversions on clicks allows you to count customers who click on a certain element on your page like an Add To Cart button, a form submission button, etc.

Funnelll No-Code Tracking
  • Navigate to the page that has the elements you want to track or edit the URL in the text box and click the -> arrow to navigate

  • Select whether this tracking is on a single page or a group of pages e.g. Product Pages

    • This exact URL: Only track clicks on the page you are on e.g. /login would only track clicks on /login page

    • Begins with URL: Track clicks on all pages that start with a certain URL e.g. /shopping/ would track clicks on /shopping/men, /shopping/women, /shopping/women/shoes

    • Similar URLs: Track clicks on all pages with a certain URL Pattern. This option is ideal for tracking a group of product pages within the same goal. After selecting this option, you will need to select which parts of the URL change e.g. the product name or serial number

  • Click the Select Element button

Funnelll No-Code Tracking
  • The Funnelll tab is minimized and you can hover over any element to highlight it. Make sure the highlight fully covered the element you are tracking to avoid tracking customers who only click dead center on a button

Hint: You can click Esc to exit the selection and show the Funnelll panel again

Best Practise: For best performance, make sure your tracked elements all have unique IDs on the page

  • Click Track More Elements On This Page if you have more elements to track e.g. a page that has multiple Sign Up buttons or Navigate somewhere else to track elements on other pages.

  • Click Save Stage when done

Best Practise: Make sure to track elements related only to one step e.g. Sign up. In other words, avoid configuring multiple steps on the same goal.
